Class Description: The American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid, CPR and AED class will prepare you to recognize and care for a variety of first aid, breathing, and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children and infants. This class meets OSHA/workplace requirements and meets the CPR requirement for the California Teaching Credential.

Class Format: This is a blended learning course including an online portion and an instructor-led classroom skill session. Online course access will be in the confirmation email after registration is complete.

Duration: Up to 3 hrs 30 min online + Up to 2 hrs 15 min class session

Certification: 2 year American Red Cross digital certificate

Duration: Up to 1 hr 30 min online + Up to 1 hr 10 min class session

Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED

Course Description: Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED teaches participants how to provide first aid, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) for all ages. This class meets OSHA/workplace requirements and meets the CPR requirement for the California Teaching Credential.

Blended Learning: Up to 3 hrs online + Up to 2 hr 15 min in-class skills session

Online Course: Prior to the in-class skills session, all participants must complete the online course thru the AHA eLearning website for $21.00 (sold separately). 

Certification Issued: 2 year American Heart Association eCard

Heartsaver First Aid

Description: The American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid is a blended learning course (online portion, followed by skills session) and teaches critical skills to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services arrives. Students learn duties and responsibilities of first aid rescuers; first aid actions for medical emergencies, including severe choking, heart attack, and stroke; and skills for handling injury and environmental emergencies, including external bleeding, broken bones and sprains, and bites and stings.

Duration: Up to 1.5 hours online course + Up to 30 minute skills session

Certification: 2 year American Heart Association eCard

Online Course: Prior to the skills check session, all participants must complete the online Heartsaver First Aid course thru the AHA eLearning website for $16.50 (sold separately).

Course Description: The American Heart Association BLS class is an Instructor-led class and teaches both single-rescuer CPR and AED, and team basic life support skills.

*Please note: BLS Provider course is entirely in-person. There is no required online pre-course work for this training.

BLS Provider Renewal 

Course Description: The American Heart Association BLS Renewal course is an Instructor-led class for AHA BLS Providers needing to renew their BLS certification. There is no online prework required.

*Please note: BLS Provider Renewal course is entirely in-person. There is no required online pre-course work for this training.

Renewal Policy: Only those with a current (NOT EXPIRED) AHA BLS Provider certificate may participate in the renewal. If your certificate has expired please enroll in the BLS Provider course instead.  

Certification: 2 year American Heart Association BLS Provider eCard

Manual: Participants may bring their own BLS Provider Manual or purchase an ebook (sold seperately).

BLS Provider Skills Session for Heartcode 

Course Description: The American Heart Association HeartCode BLS is a blended learning course that combines eLearning (online course) followed by a hands-on skill session with an instructor.

  • Part 1 - A self-paced series of online training modules
  • Part 2 - Skills practice session at our facility

Required Online Course: Prior to the in-class skills session, you MUST complete the online Heartcode BLS course thru the AHA eLearning website for $36 (sold seperately). 

Certification: 2 year American Heart Association BLS Provider eCard

The in-class session is planned for up 8 hours. Check-in begins 10 minutes before the class start time. Please dress in comfortable clothing and shoes; scrubs or uniforms are optional.

Certification:
Upon successful completion, students will receive an American Heart Association ACLS Provider eCard, valid for 2 years.

Manual Required:
A current AHA ACLS Provider Manual (2020 edition) is required for class attendance. Participants may bring their own manual or  purchase an ACLS eBook. Manuals are sold separately and are not included in the course fee.

A current edition of the American Heart Association PALS Provider Manual or eBook is REQUIRED to attend class. The manual/ebook is sold separately and not included in the cost of the course.
