How to check your expiration date
Instructors can check your expiration date in Atlas under Proof of Completion from your Dashboard or by searching at heart.org/cpr/mycards.

If your Instructor eCard expires, please submit a Support Request to see what options (if any) may be available.

Instructor Renewal Policies

IMPORTANT: Instructor Renewal Monitor Sessions are NON-REFUNDABLE.

A rescheduling fee of $185 applies if you need to reschedule your session for any reason, and this fee is also NON-REFUNDABLE.

You must be Prepared for the Monitor Session:

  • Review the course materials: Be thoroughly familiar with the course outline (found in the Instructor manual), the course DVDs (and how to play the videos), and the Provider (student) manual.
  • Practice teaching: Instructors should practice teaching the course several times before the monitor session to ensure a smooth professional delivery.
  • Student(s) for the monitor session: You must have at least one student, aged 18 or older, to participate in the monitor session. You will be observed teaching the course to your student(s).
  • Required course materials: Ensure you have all necessary materials, including the Instructor manual, course DVDs/digital videos, and the Provider manual.
  • AHA-compliant equipment: You must have AHA-compliant equipment, such as manikins, AED trainers, etc., for the monitor session.
  • Classroom environment: The classroom space must be free from noise and distractions. If conducting the session at home, use a space similar to a classroom (e.g., dining room or office) that is conducive to learning and free from interruptions such as children, pets, or other distractions.
  • Technical requirements: You must have high-speed internet and a device with a video camera and microphone for the session. Videos should be played on a display separate from the device used for the virtual Teams meeting.

IMPORTANT: All fees are non-refundable. If any of the listed requirements are not met, you will need to schedule a new renewal session and pay the renewal fee again.
