This class meets OSHA/workplace requirements and meets the CPR requirement for the California Teaching Credential.

    Class Format: This is a blended learning course including an online portion and an instructor-led classroom skill session. Online course access will be in the confirmation email after registration is complete.

    Duration: Up to 3 hrs 30 min online + Up to 2 hrs 15 min class session

    Certification: 2 year American Red Cross digital certificate

    Duration: Up to 1 hr 30 min online + Up to 1 hr 10 min class session

    Certification: 2 year American Red Cross certificate

    Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED

    Course Description: Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED teaches participants how to provide first aid, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) for all ages. This class meets OSHA/workplace requirements and meets the CPR requirement for the California Teaching Credential.

    Blended Learning: Up to 3 hrs online + Up to 1 hr 30 min in-class skills session

    Online Course: Prior to the in-class skills session, all participants must complete the online course thru the AHA eLearning website for $21.00 (sold separately). 

    Certification Issued: 2 year American Heart Association eCard

    Heartsaver First Aid

    Description: The American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid is a blended learning course (online portion, followed by skills session) and teaches critical skills to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services arrives. Students learn duties and responsibilities of first aid rescuers; first aid actions for medical emergencies, including severe choking, heart attack, and stroke; and skills for handling injury and environmental emergencies, including external bleeding, broken bones and sprains, and bites and stings.

    Duration: Up to 1.5 hours online course + Up to 30 minute skills session

    Certification: 2 year American Heart Association eCard

    Online Course: Prior to the skills check session, all participants must complete the online Heartsaver First Aid course thru the AHA eLearning website for $16.50 (sold separately).

            Course Description: The American Heart Association BLS Renewal course is an Instructor-led class for AHA BLS Providers needing to renew their BLS certification. 

            Renewal Policy: Only those with a current (NOT EXPIRED) AHA BLS Provider certificate may participate in the renewal. If your certificate has expired please enroll in the BLS Provider course instead.

            BLS Provider Skills Session for Heartcode 

            Course Description: The American Heart Association HeartCode BLS is a blended learning course that combines eLearning (online course) followed by a hands-on skill session with an instructor.

            • Part 1 - A self-paced series of online training modules (Up to 2 hours)
            • Part 2 - Skills practice session at our facility  (Up to 30 minutes)

            Required Online Course: Prior to the in-class skills session, you MUST complete the online Heartcode BLS course thru the AHA eLearning website for $36 (sold seperately).

            Description: BLS Provider and Heartsaver® First Aid gives participants the option to complete both courses on the same day.

            BLS Provider is an Instructor led all in-class course. 

            Heartsaver® First Aid is a blended learning (online + in-class) course. 

            Required Online First Aid Course: Prior to the in-class session, all participants must complete the Heartsaver® First Aid online course thru the AHA eLearning website for $16 (sold separately).

            Course Description
            The Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Course is the AHA preferred course for Experienced Providers. The ACLS Provider Course includes Precourse Work that must be complete before class. 

            Prerequisites
            Must be proficient in BLS skills AND complete the ACLS Precourse Self-Assessment and Precourse Work through eLearning.heart.org/course/424. Please allow 3-4 hours to complete the Precourse.

            CE/CME/CEU
            There will be 3.0 hours of CE credit awarded to those who are in healthcare professions that qualify, for completing the Precourse Work.

            Certification
            American Heart Association ACLS Provider eCard (valid for 2 years) is issued upon sucessful completion of the course. 

            Manual
            A current edition of the American Heart Association ACLS Provider Manual or eBook is REQUIRED to attend class. The manual/ebook is sold separately and not included in the cost of the course.

            Optional BLS Provider
            BLS Provider/Renewal may be added for $35 when taking this course. This option will save nearly 3 hours of class time compared with the stand-alone BLS course.

The course features award-winning simulation learning an interactive experience where you will respond to real-world emergencies in a virtual setting.

              Duration: 2 hours 45 minutes online

              Certification: 2 year digital American Red Cross online course certificate


              Online Course: Online course link will be sent via email within 24 hours of receiving your registration.

              This course requires a PC or tablet with a high speed Internet connection. This course is not supported on smartphones. This course does not work with Internet Explorer.

              Course Description: Bloodborne Pathogens is designed for those who are at risk for on the job exposure to blood and other bodily fluids in the workplace. The course teaches staff how bloodborne pathogens are spread, how to avoid exposure and what to do if exposed to infectious material.

              This course is one of the requirements of the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard. After taking this course, students should talk with their employer about their workplaces specific policies and procedures.

              Description: Designed primarily for youth ages 11 and older, this online course will prepare students to be better babysitters. Topics include how to provide care for infants and children; how to stay safe; what to do in an emergency; how to choose age-appropriate activities; and how to recognize and handle a variety of behaviors. Students will also learn the basics of starting a babysitting business.

              The course consists of six interactive modules featuring video, activities, games and tools babysitters can use to build their knowledge and skills and manage their babysitting business.

              AHA Instructor Renewal

              Instructor eCards must be renewed every 2 years, failure to renew before your expiration date will result in dealignment in the Atlas system. There are no exceptions, as this is automatically controlled by Atlas.

              Instructors must meet the following Renewal requirements

              • Teach a minimum of 4 classes in 2 years
              • Possess a current AHA Provider (student) eCard in your discipline
              • Maintain AHA standards as outlined in PAM
              • Be successfully monitored teaching a course by TC Faculty

              How to check your expiration date
              Instructors can check your expiration date in Atlas under Proof of Completion from your Dashboard or by searching at heart.org/cpr/mycards.

              If your Instructor eCard expires, please submit a Support Request to see what options (if any) may be available.


              Monitor Session Policies - Read Before Scheduling

              • Instructor Renewal Monitor Sessions are NON REFUNDABLE. 
              • There is a $175.00 fee if you must reschedule your session for any reason. The rescheduling fee is NON REFUNDABLE.
              • You must be prepared for the monitor session. You must be thoroughly familiar with the course outline (located in the Instructor manual), the course DVDs (including how to play the videos), and the Provider (student) manual.
              • You must have at least one or more students (18 years or older) for the monitor session. You will be monitored teaching the course to your student(s). 
              • You must have all course materials including Instructor manual, course DVDs/digital videos and provider manual.
              • You must have AHA compliant equipment including Manikins, AED trainer, etc. for the monitor session.
              • You must have a classroom space free of noise and distractions. If the monitor session will be conducted at home, a space similar to a classroom is required such as a dining room or office. The atmosphere must be conducive to learning, free of children, pets and other disruptions.
              • You must have high speed internet with a video camera/microphone enabled device. You must play videos on a display other than the device being used for the virtual zoom session.
